2001                Research worker at the Institute of Mechanical Systems in the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, invited and employed by Prof. Dr. H.-R. Meyer-Piening from 16th April till 30th September 2001.

2000                Doctor of Science. Habilitation Thesis: „An Analytic Model of Flexural Vibrations and the Static Bending of Plane Viscoelastic Composite Structures”.

1999                Recipient of a team award of Polish Minister of Education.

1996 – 1999    Manager and the first main performer of 2nd project entitled „An Exact Three Dimensional Model and a Two Step Method of Vibration Damping Analysis of Viscoelastic Composite Plates” financially supported by the Polish State Committee for Scientific Research (PSCSR).

1993 – 1995    Manager and the first main performer of 1st project entitled „Dynamic and Static Investigations of Composite Beams” financially supported by the Polish State Committee for Scientific Research (PSCSR).

1983 – 1989    Assistant of Prof. Z. Osinski at the Institute of Machine Design Fundamentals.

Professional skills:(1) Analytical methods in mechanics of solid structures. (2) Creating of 2D and 3D analytical models of mechanical (acoustic, static and vibration) behavior of plane viscoelastic layered structural elements (mainly) within the linear elasticity theory by applying the semi-inverse approach and the superposition technique. (3) Fortran programming. (4) Design of mechanical structures and experimental set-ups. (5) Experiments and  measurements in mechanics. (6) Teaching (trained/potential):  ▪descriptive geometry, ▪mechanical drawing, ▪design of machines, ▪strength of materials, ▪theory of vibration, ▪theory of linear (visco)elasticity, ▪acoustics of plane layered structures, ▪Fortran programming.

Interested in: - analytical methods and FEM in mechanics of layered structures, - modelling of mechanical and thermomechanical, dynamic or static, behaviour of layered structures, - measurements in mechanics of structures, - modelling of passive vibration damping of continuous structures, - modelling of active vibration damping of continuous structures, - modelling of sound transmission across layered structures, - modelling of mechnics of hybrid aluminium-composite space structures, - theoretical and experimental investigation of sandwich structures with continuous and noncontinuous cores, - applications of the sandwich structures in modern vehicle technology, - effective properties evaluation of composites.
