Invitation for the Easter Event

Students Council kindly invites all staff and students of our faculty for the Easter Event which will take place on 5.04.2017 at 11:15 in room 1.10. Accordingly, the time off for the lectures taking place from 11:00 to 12:00 is granted by the Dean.

INTERSTUDENT Contest 2017

Until January 15th, 2017 takes place submission of applications for the INTERSTUDENT 2017 Contest. The competion is aimed on distinguishing the best foreign students in Poland – "university leaders", who contribute to the integration of Polish and international students the most. Appointment applications can be sumbitted by professors, tutors, university or faculty authorities, international offices, student governments, as well as candidate’s colleagues.

Elections "Miss and Mister of the Faculty"

Elections of the Miss and Mister of the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering will take place on Wednesday, 19.10.2016, at 20.00 in the Remont Club. It is the 1st stage of the elections of the Miss and Mister of the WUT. Everybody who would like to come is kindly invited!

New e-mail system for students

Starting from summer semester 2015/2016, all our students will be obliged to use the e-mail system based on the domain pw.edu.pl, provided by the University. All students will receive individual e-mail addresses in the format: studentnumber@pw.edu.pl.

Summer performance of our students at Formula Student international competition

In academic year 2013/14 students of the Faculty of Automobiles and Construction Machinery Engineering took part in ‘Generacja Przyszłości’ (Generation of the Future) project run by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The outcome was an updated version of Formula Student racing car and our student’s participation in summer student races in Great Britain and Hungary.

Promising result at Aventics Pneumobil Bosch Rexroth

SiMR team with its pneumatic vehicle successfully competed in Aventics Pneumobil Bosch Rexroth event in Eger (Hungary), which took place on May 16th and 17th

SiMR Team successful at the Shell Eco Marathon Europe

Students from Car Engineers Research Club at the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering (SiMR) traditionally took part in The Shell Eco Marathon Europe. 

Hussar vehicle managed to improve its last year track record doing 375,86  km to one litre of petrol (against 326 kilometres in 2013), which resulted in 26th  place out of 59 teams in Prototype- Gasoline category and produced the only official final result for Polish vehicles.

SiMR second vehicle, Green Arrow F1 car, was ranked 15th (42,66 km/kWh) out of 31 teams participating in Urban Concept- Battery category.

Grants for long term apprenticeships

A new project has been launched within Development Programme of Warsaw University of Technology. 

Its purpose is to finance three-month apprenticeship at companies or research centres. The programme is addressed to students of selected departments including the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering (SiMR).

Students belonging to "Car Engineers Research Club" (Koło Mechaników Pojazdów - KNMP) at our Faculty (SiMR) took part in Eco-Shell-Marathon in Rotterdam between May15 and19, 2013.

SiMR graduate succeeds in PFRON contest

Our Faculty (SiMR) graduate and a contestant in the last inside department contest for the best MSc thesis in year 2011/2012, Mr Jacek Nowicki, won the third prize in the Xth All Poland “Otwarte Drzwi” contest for the best PhD and Master theses devoted to health, occupational, and social aspects of disability organised by Państwowy Fundusz Rehabilitacji Osób Niepełnosprawnych (National Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled).

The prize winning thesis competed in the category: “Occupational rehabilitation and technological solutions for disabled people.”

Our Faculty students at KONIK fairs

On October 15 and 16 our Faculty (SiMR) students representing its research clubs had the pleasure to present their achievements at Warsaw University of Technnology Research Clubs Fairs “KONIK 2013”

SiMR stands were prepared by "Car Engineers Research Club" (Koło Naukowe Mechaników Pojazdów), "Car Sports Research Club" (Koło Naukowe Sportów Samochodowych) and students involved in „Generacja Przyszłości” Project.
