Postgraduate Studies

Identification of Noise and Vibration Threads to Environment (in Polish)

Postgraduate courses on environment protection against vibroacustic threats caused by means of transport. The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information on how noise and vibration originate. It will introduce methods of measurement and assessment of vibroacoustic threats as well as ways to reduce the impact of noise and vibrations. The participants will also learn about corresponding Polish and EU norms and regulations.

Automotive Technology and Mechatronics (in Polish)

The course will focus on three main groups of subjects connected with construction, principles of operation and exploitation of mechatronic and mechanical units in motor vehicles, appraisal of their working order and reason for the occurrence of damage.

The course meets the requirements for postgraduate programmes to provide framework for teachers of the subject.

Automotive Diagnostics, Mechatronics, Expertise and Insurance (in Polish)

The aim of the course is to provide new qualifications and insight into the latest developments in the field of modern cars operation and construction including car mechatronics, safety, diagnostics and testing; motor vehicle mechanics when running in complex traffic situations; legal problems, technology and analysis in automotive appraiser work; computer technology; basics of assessment and road accident description; motor vehicle insurance.

The subject matter of the course complies with the knowledge required to obtain automotive appraiser certificate from Centrum Certyfikacji Rzeczoznawców Polskiego Związku Motorowego (Centre for Automotive Appraisers Certification at Polish Motor Vehicle Association).

Examination of Vehicle Roadworthiness (in Polish)

The course will present basic problems related to legal aspects of running a Motor Vehicle Investigation Station: the construction, principle of work and exploitation of assemblies in mechanical vehicles; working order appraisal and reasons for damage occurrence as well as the regulations for vehicle testing. The course participants are most likely professionally interested in motorisation, especially in work at a Motor Vehicle Investigation Station, want to extend their university knowledge and learn about requirements behind certificates.

The participants of the courses have an understanding of the basics of vehicle construction, exploitation, diagnostics and working order appraisal. They will also learn about legal aspects of running a Motor Vehicle Investigation Station.

ISO Standarisation of Crane Operation (in Polish)

The course is devoted to cranes, their exploitation and working order appraisal in relation to binding norms, works and trends for future developments in this field.

The course participants are most likely professionally interested in crane exploitation, especially in exploitation monitoring, want to extend university knowledge as well as learn current approaches to ISO norms on crane exploitation.

The participants of the courses have the understanding of the basics of crane construction and operation, its safe exploitation, testing and diagnostics as well as working order appraisal. They will also learn about legal aspects of crane exploitation and ISO requirements concerning the staff involved in this process.

Security and Human Protection in Work Environment (in Polish)

The main aim of the course on Security and Human Protection in Work Environment is providing the participants with the information and skills which will enable them to recognise, assess and control hazards occurring at a work place, advise in designing and setting a work place up, manage safety at work, act actively for the natural environment protection and contribute to the reduction of the negative impact work processes may exert on the natural environment.

Computer Aided Design with Fundamentals of Industrial Design (in Polish)

The main goal of the course is to endow the participants with skills to use computer methods and tools at every stage of design process from generating a preliminary idea through the development of alternative solutions, detailed drawings to manufacturing and prototype testing.

The course is addressed to engineers involved in development processes. The classes stretch over two semesters. The curriculum also includes application of intelligent materials, industrial design and marketing.
